Pray with us:

Daily Prayer Meetings at 7:30am, during the week, in person or online.
We end our fast together at First Saturday Prayer on 2 September at 9am.

Sacred 7 is one week where we deliberately put time aside for God to speak to us - by spending more time in His word and spending more time hearing His voice. Through fasting, we give up something we enjoy and replace it for time with God.

Fasting is a biblical practice. Throughout scripture we see men and women setting specific time aside to seek God through prayer and fasting. As a result, God heard and answered their prayers, delivered them from their enemies, caused them to break through and gave them victory.

Each time we pray and fast, it draws us near to God, sets our focus on Him and strengthens us spiritually. It enables us to prepare our hearts to hear from God and align our lives to His will and purposes for our lives.

Every year we set a week aside as a Church, for prayer and fasting during Sacred 7. In this time, we earnestly seek God, draw closer to Him, and see His mighty hand move in our lives and the Church.

We invite you to join us for Sacred 7.

To benefit from all God wants to do in our lives through this concentrated time of prayer and fasting, decide what it is God is saying to you regarding your life, His will and then focus on it for the duration of the fast and commit it to God.

It’s also a time to make your requests known to God, trust in His goodness and believe Him to work in the different areas of our lives.

We believe as you participate in the fast, God will do MORE than you can IMAGINE.

About Prayer

Prayer is the key to an ongoing, intimate relationship with God. When you pray, you acknowledge God as an authority in your life and your dependency on Him. God wants us to not only recognise Him as an authority in our lives, but wants you to see Him as a loving Father.

The disciples saw the effects of prayer in the life of Jesus and asked Him to teach them how to pray.

“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of His  disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” - Luke 11:1

They knew that the power and authority Jesus had was a result of Him developing a lifestyle of prayer.

Jesus taught them to pray.

“This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” - Matthew 6:9-13

Prayer is a powerful weapon that each believer has. Prayer gives you the advantage over the enemy who constantly seeks to steal, kill and destroy God’s plan for your life.

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." - Matthew 6:16-18

"On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on their heads. Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in confession and in worshipping the Lord their God." - Nehemiah 9:1-3
