Who We Are.
At Imagine Church we are passionate about creating a LIFE-GIVING environment for people to ENCOUNTER God through worship and be EQUIPPED for everyday life through a Bible-based message.
We believe that the church is the hope of the world and it’s where people find their PURPOSE and are GRACED to live their best life as totally committed Christ-followers.
No matter where you find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome at Imagine Church.
Our hope for you is that you would deepen your relationship with God, take your next step as a Christ-follower, discover your purpose and then live it out empowered by the grace of God.

SAVED
Jesus is the only way to eternal life. The message of salvation is good news and is the first step in the discipleship journey.
CALLED
Spiritual freedom from your past is available to all who follow Christ and this freedom can be experienced when we devote ourselves to the ways of God.
PURPOSED
As Christ-followers we all have a part to play in God's church. Being committed to a church gives us the opportunity to bring our skills, time and resources to extend the kingdom of God through our local church. It’s where we find a purpose to live for that which is bigger than ourselves.
GRACED
We live empowered by the Holy Spirit who leads us and guides us in the way of the word as a Christ-follower.
What We Believe
Statement of Faith
1.
We believe in the scripture of the Old and New Testaments, as fully inspired by God.
2.
We believe in one God, existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Trinity).
3.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is fully God and fully human.
4.
We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin which is death physically and spiritually.
5.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are made righteous by His shed blood and given eternal life.
6.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.
7.
We believe that marriage was instituted by God as it is defined in the Bible, a covenant between one man and one woman entered into before God.
8.
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit.
9.
We believe that water baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection.
10.
We believe that communion is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of Christ’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, until He comes.
11.
We believe that through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross that divine healing is made available.
12.
We believe that by Grace we are saved and empowered to fulfill the purpose of God for our lives.
13.
We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Legacy of Imagine Church
Imagine Church started in 1981 as Rhema South Family Church. It started with a few people in a home and has now become a HOME to thousands of people.
The church transitioned leadership to Pastors Donavan and Shelley Cassell in January 2014 from Pastor Donavan’s parents (Pastors Anthony and Laurel who founded the church).
In 2021, during our annual Vision, the Church name changed from Rhema South Family Church to Imagine Church, paving a new way forward for our church.
We are a Christ-centred and Bible-based church that exists to disciple people into totally committed Christ-followers.
Leadership
Pastors Donavan and Shelley are visionary leaders who set the direction and tone for the church. They are advised in decision-making by an Advisory Board and are accountable financially to a Finance Board made up of business leaders not employed by the church. The church is audited annually.
We are affiliated to ARC (Association of related churches) which is an international church planting organisation.
